The Tramps enjoyed an early start for the annual “Charlie Cornish Memorial” two-man Ambrose event.

Charlie was as well known for his love of the game as he was for his colourful golf wardrobe. To keep with the theme, all Tramps players dressed in Hawaiian shirts, which made for a great day out. We thank Ron’s Mobile Clothing Emporium for supplying shirts to those in need.

The results turned out a tight affair with Pete Jarman & Al Bruchert taking the win away from Bruce Douglass & Pete Smajstr in the runner up spot. The pairing of two steady players ensured that Paul Conley and Al Schofield were good enough to secure the Tramps trophy by a narrow margin.

NTP’s were a team affair with the following results: 3rd – Pete Smajstr & Bruce Douglass; 9th – Mal Cocks & Maz Mazoudier; 10th – Pete Smajstr & Bruce Douglass (yes again….); 12th – Al Schofield & Paul Conley; 17th – “The Umbilical Bros.”, Pete Berger & Tony Berger. Pete Berger was our lucky raffle winner this week.
