Yamba Senior Golfers held a Single Stableford event on Monday 19th October with 54 players, including some new faces and visitors from Wodonga, Virginia and Wanneroo golf clubs. Noel Collie made a welcome return to the winners list, winning the Men’s comp with 42 points. The ever consistent John Ralph was r/up with 41 points after a countback. The ball rundown went to 33 points and included Doug Luckie, Barry Fisher, Peter Cavanagh, Iain Gosling, Ron Bines, Keith Cromack, Mike Thurbon, Kevin Malloy, Warren Hughes, Alex Podbereski and Harold Roberts, NTPs: 3rd Hole Des Hall, 12th Hole Doug Luckie. The Ladies winner was Lina Holden who, after a nice holiday in Italy and her first game with the Seniors came in with 38 points. The r/up was Lucy Thompson on 37 points. The ball rundown went to 33 points and included Marie Leonard, Barb Wood, Helen Atkinson, Sandra Wallace, Maiva Burnham and Isabel Ayscough.
