As previously advised it was with regret that Yamba Seniors Inc.would no longer be functioning but on Wednesday we all enjoyed our annual Christmas luncheon at the Yamba Bowling Club. Those members who attended enjoyed a delicious Christmas lunch along with raffle prizes and secret Santa gifts.
Special guests included our past Patrons Sandra and Harry Woods, president Ian and Joy Lauder CEO, Phil Boughton from the Yamba Bowling Club and Judy from Lions. Our members would like to take this opportunity to thank our president Shirley Drum for her dedication, kindness and thoughtfulness in making this day as special as it was – without her this day would not have been possible, in fact Yamba Seniors would not have survived without the effort and dedication of our amazing Shirley and for this we are extremely thankful.
Prior to our lunch we had a short meeting where it was agreed that monies held in our bank account would be distributed to various charities incuding the Wooloweyah Fire Brigade, Yamba Surf Club, Australian Red Cross, Westmead Childrens’ Hospital, Westpac Helicopter, Yamba Rotary and Yamba Lions.
NSW Seniors Week will be held at the Yamba Bowling Club the first Sunday in March and Lions have indicated they will be helping out on the day.
