Yamba Red Cross members would like to thank Debbie McCreddie and staff of the Yamba Cinema for giving us the opportunity to have our fundraiser last Thursday.  Being able to utilize this facility is a wonderful way for the community to get together and raise funds for the various charitable organisations in our area and I thank Debbie for her kindness and thoughtfulness in allowing these events to happen.     

It was the premier of the movie ‘Fisherman’s Friends’ which is a wonderful movie and should not be missed. Although we were down on numbers, the chocolate wheel, raffle and proceeds from the tickets raised much needed funds for the Red Cross Fire Appeal. I would like to thank all those members who baked delicious sausage rolls, scones, piklets, cakes and slices and for your help on the day.

Our Christmas merchandise will be available at the women’s bowls morning at Yamba Bowling Club on Thursday November 28. We will be selling tickets in our Christmas raffle at the Yamba Fair Shopping Centre on Tuesday and Wednesday December 3-4. 

The next blood donor dates will be December 9-10 at the Yamba Bowling Club – please register with the Lismore Blood Service as walk-ins could be turned away. 

Our next monthly meeting will be held on Saturday December 7 at the Roundhouse Palm Lake Resort commencing at the later time of 11am followed by our members Christmas party.
