Yamba New Year’s golf

We had 39 ladies who played in Wednesday’s round (January 30). In Division 1, Jane Bonner took the honours with an excellent score of 39pts. Kathy Parker was r/up (37pts c/b) just ahead of Glen Czarnota. In Division 2, our regular visitor from Qld, Olivia Evans was the winner (39pts) beating Julie Vernol (38pts) and another visitor, Sally McIlvray (36pts). Di Sigle won the 3rd NTP again. Angie Walpole took out the 12th NTP and Gail Gore-Brown hit a blinder to take the 17th 2nd shot NTP. Balls were awarded to 34 pts c/b. On Friday January 1, 14 ladies who had obviously behaved themselves on New Year’s Eve played in a single Stableford round. With only one grade, Irene Williams was the winner with 36pts. Sue Scott was r/up with 34pts and Lyn Rowland followed closely on 33pts. Lyn also won the 12th NTP and Mary Hogan won the 17th 2nd shot NTP. Balls went to 33pts. Humid conditions greeted the nine ladies who played on Saturday. Grafton visitor, Peg James, won with 33pts and Kathy Parker featured again as r/up (29pts) on countback from Gwynne Thomas, Peg also won the NTP. We welcome any visiting players to our competitions.
