Yamba Lions Club held their 45th change over and the new board of directors were duly installed by Lions Region 2 chairperson, Lion Peter Brotherton, who is a past member of Yamba Lions Club, but now a member of Valla Beach Lions Club. It was great to catch up again with Peter and his wife Jo.     

Lion Gordon Saunders is the Club’s new president; Peter Hudson is secretary and Ian Lauder is treasurer. The other board members are: Lions Stella Jackson, Judy Mills (IMP), Peter Bennett, Dave Robertson, Jackie Penfold, Amanda Bennett, Peter Ross, Paul Fox, Bill Venn and Joy Lauder. Congratulations to all board members and hope you’ll have a memorable year.

Yamba Lions held their Charity Bowls Day on Sunday July 14 which was followed by a sausage sizzle. Lion Peter Hudson, who organised the whole day and all the prizes, needs a huge ‘thank you’ as without his magnificent effort, the day would not have been a success. A total of approximately $800 was raised from the day and will go to local charities.
