We had a large field of 47 ladies who played in Wednesday’s Summer competition. In Div 1, Jane Bonner was the standout player again with a fantastic score of 40pts and two NTP on the 3rd and 12th holes. Her nearest rivals were Ann Groom (38pts) and Leigh Robertson (37pts c/b). In Div 2, Fay Gimenez came through with a winning score of 38pts, beating Carolyn Chester (34pts) and Sue Skelton (33pts c/b). Peg James has almost become a ‘local’ through her regular play over the last couple of weeks. Her 2nd shot on the 17th won her the day’s NTP. Balls were awarded to 33pts. Our ball winners were Jane Bonner, Ann Groom, Fay Gimenez, Leigh Robertson, Kathy Parker, Gail Gore-Brown, Jo Simmons, Carolyn Chester, Susan Skelton, Peg James, Lynne Donsworth and Sam Brown. Winnings are not being added to the club system so remember to call in to the Pro Shop to collect your vouchers and balls. Unfortunately, Friday’s game did not take place due to wet weather. We had 11 fortunate ladies who endured one heavy shower during play on Saturday morning. Gwynne Thomas was the winner with 34pts, and Jane Bonner was r/up (31pts c/b) ahead of Margaret Fishburn. Jane also won the NTP. She is on fire! We are thrilled to have so many new faces playing on Saturdays. Last week we welcomed Terri Collingburn, Jacky Penfold and Maiva Burnham.
