Last Wednesday had 57 participants in its 2BBB Multiplier event, a format that relies on players combining well and avoiding ‘wipes’. There were lots of smiling faces and friendships seemed to be intact after the round so it mustn’t have been too traumatic for the teams.
Div 1 winners were Jennifer Fagan/Robyn Brockwell (63) who came in ahead of runners up, Suzanne Scott/Leigh Robertson (58).
In Div 2, the winners were Lee Daley/Phyllis Telfer who had the day’s highest score (64) and runners up were Jenny Dewar/Jean Whitby (53).
Keeping it in the family, Dulcie Nurse/Joan Berry (63) won Div 3, beating Noni Rixon/Terri Collingburn (57).
NTP winners: Yamba Medical Centre 3rd – Mary Hogan; Yamba Florist, Debbie May 3rd (2nd) – Dulcie Nurse; Leonie May Millinery 9th (2nd) -Carrie Aitken; Yamba Fair Butchery 10th – Joan Berry; The Shoe Boutique 12th – Suzanne Scott; Clovelly Fashions, Maclean 12th (2nd) – Lyn Rowland and The Wobbly Chook 17th (2nd) – Noni Rixon. Our nine-hole competition had 11 players for their single Stableford format. Congratulations to Colleen Bamback who played a fabulous round to win (18pts) ahead of Susan Boyce (17pts). Colleen also won the 3rd NTP. Well done Colleen.
