Yamba Evening VIEW Club turned 27th this month and we took the opportunity to celebrate and put some bling on.
We may seem like a bunch of unlikely women out for a good night, but the reality is, behind the fun and bling our VIEW members are making a difference.
Yamba Evening VIEW Club sponsors eight children through The Smith Family’s Learning for Life program, which provides them with educational and personal support. However, with one in six young Australians living in poverty, help is needed now more than ever.
This year has been extremely tough on children experiencing disadvantage, with COVID-19 exacerbating many of the challenges they already face. The pandemic has put so many families under financial pressure, and teaching from home can be difficult, even in the most ideal circumstances.
This is why Yamba Evening VIEW is so passionate about supporting the work of The Smith Family, because it’s through education that we can help break the cycle of poverty and allow these children to create better futures for themselves.
Our dinner meetings are our secret weapon, and it would be easy to forget by attending your contributing to the sponsorship of disadvantaged Australian children.
Our club’s sponsorship plays a small part in supporting disadvantaged children. Collectively VIEW Club’s across Australia sponsor more than 1,400 disadvantaged students.
Joining VIEW is not only a wonderful way to help out children in need, but also a great way to get involved in the community. We would love more women of all ages to join our club so we can help more children. It is that easy!
Our next meeting is Thursday night November 4 at the usual place the Yamba Bowlo from 6pm for a 7pm start.
If you are new to town and would like to join us, please give us a call. Guests are always welcome.
Bookings are now open and close Wednesday October 27 at 4pm.
Please ensure you contact Marlene, treasurer and meals coordinator on 0400 528 846 if you or your guest have any dietary requirements.
NEVER look down on someone unless you’re Helping them up.
