Time to call Marlene with your acceptance or apology and menu choice, she would love to hear from you, phone 6645 8721 or 0403 990 959, no later than Friday August 4. Our August 7 meeting will be at our usual venue, Yamba Shores Tavern, 6.30 for a 7pm start. Members enjoyed a great social morning tea at Angourie Café; thanks must go to Noreen for organising this outing. By the sounds of chatter and laughter it was a great success. Guest speaker, for this month will be Gayle Doe, she is director of community service projects for Yamba Rotary Club. I am sure that we have all seen what the wonderful group of people in Rotary do to help in the local area. One of the latest and most reassuring projects to see in Yamba; is the 24 hour defibrillator, a potentially life-saving piece of equipment. It will be interesting to hear from Gayle how this all came about. Not only do we live in an idyllic area we also have a caring community. VIEW Clubs help with funding for The Smith Family Learning for Life Program, helping students to get a good education… such a worthy cause. Are you visiting, or new to Yamba? Please join us, just give Marlene a call to book in, we will make you very welcome. It is the friends along the way that help us appreciate the journey. Jan McKay
