Yamba Evening VIEW Club

What a Birthday Fiesta we had! Our ladies dressed in Spanish attire and really entered  into the spirit of the celebration.

I think that a little bit of training went into the breaking of the Pinata, it received some mighty blows before it spilled its booty! Thanks to all for making the night such a success.

Our next meeting is to be held at our usual venue, Yamba Shores Tavern on Monday October 14 at 6pm for a 7pm start.

Acceptances or apologies to Marlene no later than Wednesday October 9; contact 0400 528 846, or auntymarl@rocketmail.com

Guest speaker this month is Hayley Talbot, she kayaked the length of the Clarence River living off the land. Look forward to hearing how she achieved this amazing feat.

Social morning tea was well attended, we went to Summis, on the hill; Khan and his staff looked after us, great coffee and shared VIEW  friendship made for an enjoyable outing. Thank you Pat and Jan for organising us every month.

Please come along to a meeting if you are new to the area, or maybe just visiting our beautiful part of the world, we will make you welcome. Give Marlene a call to book in.

Apart from the friends you make and the chance to have a night off from the cooking, we also share a passion; we help support The Smith Family ‘Learning For Life Program’, giving underprivileged children the chance to gain an education, our club has seven students in the program. I am sure you would agree that it’s a very worthwhile cause.

Help us to help them simply by attending a VIEW dinner meeting, hope to see you there.

The Tavern has a courtesy bus, please phone 6646 1888 to book a seat.

Remember: Go the extra mile…it is never crowded.
