Ed,
When will the CVC understand we the ratepayers have elected them to make decisions on our behalf for the betterment of all Valley residents.
Somewhere along the line this seems to have been forgotten and they decide what will be best for the CVC and their coffers.
For over the last 3 years Yamba has been living in a state of constant shambles thanks to their decisions on our behalf.
First it was the approval of a DA for Hometown to proceed with the Wattle Park Development. This was a cause of major flooding to Yamba Road (which had never flooded before, caused by tons and tons of fill which they approved, and which is still occurring. This in turn completely shattered our road surfaces from Harwood Bridge to its final destination.
Now we have endured over a month of road disruptions whilst Hometown dig up Shores Drive to redirect their storm water into the wetland beside same road.
How much more do Yamba residents have to put up with to allow a developer to make squillions of dollars whilst our disruptions and inconvenience goes on and on?
We the ratepayers need to have a long think about what we want from our council, and can we elect men and women to the next Council who will really think of the decisions they will be making on our behalf and what we want, not what will be best for CVC.
