Yamba Day VIEW Club

Happy new year to all our wonderful members and we do hope you all enjoyed the break and Santa was kind and generous to everyone. What a sight he is, every year dropping off presents and spreading good cheer amongst us. Yamba Day was on his list with many smiling and happy faces receiving a gift and enjoying a wonderful luncheon together; with a few Christmas games, enjoyable singing, bright Christmas and table decorations; the mood was set for a treat.

Yes ladies it is time to renew memberships when we start back on February 18, this will also be our AGM so do not be afraid to step forward and carry on the good work. We still need a vice president and publicity officer… hands up ladies.

International Women’s Day preparations are well under way with a great programme on the agenda

If your name is on the list that was circulated at our Christmas luncheon please book and pay at Yamba Bowlo, the 1st week in February, so as to secure a seat at our table; cost is $30.

On Friday March 8 (I.W.D.) the Yamba Bowling Club will again assist us in fundraising so that Yamba Day can continue to sponsor our five ‘Learning for Life’ students on their educational journey.

There are 16 Australian students sponsored, and money for the programme is sent from proceeds of this function. Bring a friend and enjoy a special day of entertainment.

If you have any special dietary requirements contact Joy on 6646 1124; (no bookings) just diet.

The first committee meeting for the year will be held at the Bowlo on Monday February 11 at 10am.

The club offers sympathy to Marjorie after the passing of her husband.

Our thoughts to Val and to those who are not feeling well.
