Great to get back to Covid normal after having to cancel our August meeting at the last moment.

Yes, we can live with this, as this appears to become the norm, so let’s just make the most of a bad scene. Interesting to receive an e-mail on a pandemic breaking out every 100 years, in some form.

Words of inspiration. “Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to blow over, it’s about learning to dance in the rain”.

September meeting was almost full to capacity for our function room, 25 seated are allowed. So, ladies get your bookings in for our October birthday on Monday 18.

Thanks to Vice President Roslyn for conducting the last meeting, as a trip to Lismore, locked us both in for seven days.

The guest speaker last month was optometrist, Lowana Littlechild, from Eyecare Plus, who gave an interesting and enjoyable talk on her training, experiences starting out in the field, and the modern advances in eye examinations. Maybe if the early detection of glaucoma was possible in the “good old days’, my mum may have been able to halt the eventual blindness in her later years, or at least hold it at bay longer.

Thank you Joy for the month’s prizes, purchased in support of fundraising for Motor Neuron Disease.

Don’t forget you must phone Lyn only, on 6646 3164, or 0448 688 558 for the October luncheon.
