Yamba Day VIEW Club

Welcome back one and all for a new year, and now with our elections behind us, we can settle to caring for one another and the five children and their families we sponsor. No doubt The Smith Family will have an increase in those requiring help, due to the fires, drought etc, and we can be extremely proud of what our achievement means.

Many thanks to the newly elected members and grateful thanks to those who are staying on or have chosen to not stand again this year for committee.

We are reminded that attendance at meetings is necessary to help keep the club vitalised and to share the load amongst all members.

International Women’s Day is being held on March 13 at the Bowlo.

The programme this year promises to be excellent as VIEW is celebrating their  Diamond Jubilee. Ladies if you have not booked your tickets, do so.

Booking and tickets can be picked up at the Bowling Club cost $32, the small price rise due to the prevailing weather conditions, over many months effecting our farmers.

This fundraising event will assist in supporting the 18 Australian children presently under sponsorship here in the Clarence Valley plus helping with funds forwarded toward costs. Come along and see what VIEW Clubs are all about, or sit in at one of our meetings, you may be pleasantly surprised and you would be made most welcome.

Our first club monthly outing will be morning tea at10am at the Pinewood Corner coffee lounge on March 30. Please place your names in the book at the luncheon meeting on March 6at10am at the Bowlo.

Many of our ladies (or partners) are currently not well, we wish them a speedy recovery .

Remember YOU can be the change that you wish to see in the world.
