Welcome ladies to 2019! Our first luncheon meeting will be our AGM and all positions will be declared vacant; an important meeting not only to catch up with friends and relate the events of the festive season that you enjoyed but to welcome and support our new committee for 2019.
This meeting will be held at the Yamba Bowlo on Monday February 18 with a 10am for a 10.30 prompt start. Subs are now due.
We will also be discussing International Women’s Day which is coming around fast. In saying that, members who listed themselves as going to IWD on Friday March 8, your tickets have been purchased. Please check with Dianne Price if you are unsure about your ticket. For those ladies that have not paid in advance, it would be appreciated if you could pay at the February luncheon. This is a wonderful event to bring a friend or two along as they will see how the four VIEW Clubs of The Lower Clarence work together to put on a fantastic day filled with friendship, speakers, entertainment and some lovely food.
IWD is our yearly fundraiser. With these funds (through The Smith Family), we sponsor five primary aged children in the ‘Learning For Life’ programme. As you are all aware and have seen from the letters and cards we receive from the children (via The Smith Family), the difference our sponsorship has made not only to the education but to their self esteem. For a parent/carer to able to provide some added basics like an updated uniform, or to be able to attend excursions, must create a happier and healthier home life.
If you are new to our area VIEW is a wonderful way to meet and make new friends as well as contributing to a charity. Day VIEW members enjoy not only our luncheon meetings but the monthly social outings as well. New members and guests are always welcome and apologies/bookings on the Friday prior to with Lyn on 6646 3164.
