The Yamba Cricket Club took out this seasons minor and major premiership for the first time in over 20 years

Lynne Mowbray | The Yamba Cricket Club held their annual presentation and award night on Saturday at the Yamba Golf and Country Club. For the first time in over 20 years the club celebrated their win as both minor and major premiers in the same season. The following members received awards on the night: Jade Moffitt took out Junior Club Person, Junior Bowler and 6 Wicket Haul in one Game, trophies. Duncan Coxell won Junior Batsman of the Year. Third Grade winners were: Nathan Hollis, who took out the Player of the Year Scott Urquhart Memorial Trophy, Scott Studdert (captain) 5 Wicket Haul in one Game, Jeremy Angelo (president of the Yamba Cricket Club) Bowler of the Year, Brian Quinlin Batsman of the Year and Players Player went to Shane Eamens and Callan Hollis. The Yamba Cricket Club would like to thank their sponsor, Yamba Golf and Country Club, for their support. Thanks also goes to Kane’s Sports for donating a cricket bat, which was raffled off on the night and Dianna Hodges for the effort she put in with both the junior and senior games. The club would also like to thank all the families in the club for their assistance with umpiring and scoring. The third grade had a very successful season and they are looking forward to seeing both old and new faces again next year.
