Several businesses reaped an unexpected reward last week when the Sydney Weekender television show crew visited the lower river, one of which was Nicholson’s Fine Foods. Clarence Valley Council’s economic coordinator, Liz Fairweather, said that the council has an existing relationship with Sydney Weekender. “They tell us the type of activity they are looking for; we provide some options and they make a choice on where they want to go,” she said. Peter Nicholson was quite chuffed about the television show taking an interest in his business. “Sydney Weekender rang and asked to do a factory tour, and I was more than happy to have them here,” he said. “We did a mock up tour of the factory. “A tour takes 60 to 90 minutes and it is free: people can book one, but we need a group of between five and 10 people.” Mr Nicholson said he was told the episode would screen in November.
