As the year comes to a close, it’s the perfect time to reflect on all the fantastic moments we’ve shared at the Port of Yamba Yacht Club. From thrilling Wednesday races to relaxed Sunday social sails, we’ve enjoyed countless days on the water with great company and plenty of adventure.

During the year, we’ve welcomed new members and crew, making our club even more vibrant and diverse. Whether it’s seasoned sailors, beginners eager to learn, or those who simply enjoy the community atmosphere, everyone has contributed to making the club a special place. A big thank you to all who have joined us—your enthusiasm and support keep the club alive and thriving.

Our Wednesday races continue to be a highlight. The mix of boats, big and small, always makes for exciting competition, and our handicap system ensures everyone has a fair shot at glory. If you’ve been thinking about getting involved, now’s the perfect time. Whether you’re an experienced sailor or just curious to see what it’s all about, we’d love to see your boat on the start line!

Friday night drinks at the Sunset Bar have also become a favourite gathering. From 5pm, enjoy cheap drinks, spectacular sunsets, and the chance to relax with friends old and new.

On Boxing Day, members and guests watched the start of the iconic Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race on our brand-new big screen. The club opened from midday and served light meals and drinks from our fully licensed bar.

As we look ahead to another year, we’re excited about what’s to come—more races, social sails, and special events that bring our community together. We hope to see even more faces around the club and out on the water in 2025.
