Wilks wins ‘Tour de Woodford’

cvi   Grafton cyclist Dion Wilks has taken out Sunday’s Tour de Woodford bike race for the second year in a row. Wilks, who lead for most of the race broke away from the pack in the last hundred metres, with a nail biting sprint to the finish line. Rotary Club of Maclean event organiser Simon Willmore said that riders from as far away as Brisbane entered the 6th annual event. “It has been a fantastic day,” he said. “There has been no wind and conditions were near perfect for this year’s event.” This year 153 riders entered the event, making it the biggest on record.
