Ed,
Council received 372 objections to the proposed rezoning of Yamba Hill, and only 5 letters of support. Yet the motion passed?!
What is the point of doing a submission if it is so blatantly ignored? Who exactly are our council representing, if not those invested enough to take the time to make a submission? The blatant disregard of their constituents is quite disconcerting and has me fearful of our future under this group’s lead.
Particularly spine-chilling is one of the councillors’ recent radio comment that if the locals don’t like the growing tourism (which will inevitably magnify after the rezoning) then they can move and she’ll sell their houses for them!
