Ed, I suggest that the proposed development of 161-lot West Yamba be subject to the construction of independent access to the site from the Pacific Highway. The present access is barely sufficient for present inescapable twenty-four hour services provided by the health department in Maclean and beyond and in daylight hours the heavy movement of Yamba’s young scholars to similar destinations. In addition to the foregoing, I am not an engineer, but I suspect that the present pavement would require a total rebuild to handle all that is needed to build such a major development in Yamba as that proposed by the developer.
