We are a very generous community

Maclean Patchwork and Quilters have received generous donations of fabric from the community after our appeal went out.

Last Tuesday was a very busy morning for us, as we were putting together our second charity quilt when we were visited by some very generous ladies, Pat and Heather, who donated enough fabric for quite a few more quilts. We had already received two donations from two Yamba ladies, Bev and through Kathy at Yamba Time Florist.

Altogether we are able to distribute the fabric and cotton to our group, who will now turn these very generous donations into some beautiful quilts.

We send a thank you to these generous folk and our community newspapers who published our appeal. We are a community and it shows.

Our first group quilt has been completed and our second one is currently being quilted.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank our group of very talented ladies for their time and efforts to produce these wonderful quilts.

It hasn’t gone unnoticed that behind some of these women is a very patient men offering support.  For all you blokes out there that are talented crafters, come visit us sometime. You would be very welcome. Any Tuesday 9am – 2pm. at the Maclean Uniting Church Hall, Church Street, Maclean.
