  Angourie surfer Dakoda Walters has finished equal third at the Billabong Occy’s Grom Comp, held at Duranbah Beach, Tweed Heads last week. With 20 seconds remaining, fellowA Billabong team rider Caleb Tancred (Avoca Beach, NSW) logged a 9.10 (out of 10) to eliminate Walters in what organisers regarded as the most exciting heat of the competition. For the second consecutive year, Kehu Butler (New Zealand) won the final, defeating Tancred 19.57 to 17.47 (out of 20) – Butler scored a perfect 10 on his last wave to take out the event.
