Two players per group is proving a hit with golfers at Yamba

With the current restriction golfers are finding that playing in groups of two is a great way to play and it cuts about an hour and a half off a round as well the only problem is that we are going home too early and our life wives are putting us to work.

Winners of our Thursday’s Stableford competition were: In A Grade Tony James returned 40pts giving him the win over Kane Hancock 39pts and 3rd was Greg Wyllie with 38pts.

In B Grade all three winners had 37pts with the c/b going to Mike Grills, 2nd was Rob Hodson and 3rd Warren Hughes.

Brian Smith returned the score of the day with 41pts knocking out Rex Bolte in the Semi Final of the match play as well; 2nd was President Tony Moran with 40pts and 3rd was Graeme Coates with 38pts.

Balls for the day went to 34pts with 18 or better on the back 9.

Saturday Stableford was played in perfect conditions with over 120 players enjoying the outdoors.

The winner of A Grade was Geoff Flett with 38pts on a c/b from Paul Austin and 3rd with 38pts as well was Dave Cruden.

B Grade winner was Col Simmons with 40pts from Dale Pigram 37pts and 3rd was Big John Maguire with 36pts on a c/b.

Dave Groth was the C Grade winner with 40pts from Terry Bull 37pts and 3rd was Brian Dwyer with 35pts.

Balls went to 34pts with 18pts or better on the back 9.
