Andrea Thomson (pictured) of South Grafton has started off the swimming short course season in great form.

After an amazing start to the year with CHS Long Course Championships, winning her way through to State where she made top 10 finals, she has followed up with fantastic results in the North Coast Short Course Championships.

This event sees swimmers from as far south as Forster and north up to Tweed Heads competing for North Coast titles.

Andrea competed in nine individual events and a relay, taking out ‘Champion Long Distance Overall Junior Female’, after setting two North Coast records in 1500mtrs freestyle 13yrs and winning five gold and two silver individuals with whopping PB’s, also gaining qualifying times for Country Championships in Sydney this weekend.

Andi’ has thanked her coaches Ruth Everuss and Sarah Jane for continuing with their support and training, also Michael for his wonderful support.
