Todd Brewer beats the wet Yamba course

Over 120mm of rain fell on Yamba Golf Course on Tuesday and Wednesday leaving everyone in doubt that the course would be playable on Thursday.

Amazingly, the fairways dried out very quickly and 97 hardy golfers competed in the midweek Stableford event.

Round of the day was scored by Todd Brewer when he compiled 40 points to win A Grade from David Miles (38) and Peter Kelly (37).

In B Grade, Sid Mills returned to the podium with a fine round of 38 points. Larry McKenzie was second with 36 and Jan Dampney third with 35.

David Barnsley was the C Grade winner with 36 points. He was followed by Ken Pallich (34) and David Green (33).

Adam Izzard, Saturday winner
