Our hearts are breaking at the Clarence Valley Independent, as we sadly inform you of the passing of Winifred “Win” Jefferies, at the age of 108.
This beautiful lady was a much-loved member of our community.
She had recently celebrated another milestone birthday on August 24 and featured on the cover of two of our previous editions, one of which we
named in her honour, the Clarence Valley Windpendent.
Many of you also sent Win birthday wishes.
She read every one and it brought her so much joy to know how many people cared.
Win was a very special lady and we would like to offer our deepest condolences to her family and friends during this difficult time.
Thank you for the amazing memories and for sharing your life’s stories with all of us Win.
