The ‘Leading Ladies’ of VIEW

It has been a big year for Yamba Evening VIEW club on many fronts. Yamba Evening VIEW club maybe only be 27 years in the making, but during those years the club has built a reputation for producing ‘Leading Ladies’ and 2021 is no different.

We now have the pleasure in congratulating Elizabeth Birch, who was elected to The VIEW National Executive for 2022-2023. Elizabeth is National Vice President (NSW).

I would also like to congratulate National President Marg Woodhouse (Victoria) and National Vice President Evelyn Berg (QLD).

Elizabeth joined Yamba Evening VIEW in 2013 and since then, Elizabeth has continued to climb the leadership ladder. Not a ladder with a paycheck but an important one, none the less. Elizabeth is a volunteer along with 15,000 other women who are members of VIEW clubs across Australia.

VIEW is a leading voice and valued support network for women.  VIEW actively raises awareness of, and participates in, the work of The Smith Family to make the lives of children and young people a better place.

Elizabeth has been in a leadership role for many of her years as a member of Yamba Evening VIEW, starting with committee positions, then onto a Zone Councillor position for two years then National Councillor for a further two years. Our club is proud of Elizabeth’s achievements.

Elizabeth’s roles include supporting VIEW clubs in the Upper Mid-North Coast and Clarence Valley Region NSW.

VIEW is the only national women’s organization solely focused on supporting and advocating for the education of young, disadvantaged Australians. We do this because we believe that by helping disadvantaged children succeed at school, we can have a lasting impact on their lives and potential generations to come. If you are interest in joining us. I would love to hear from you. Our next meeting is Thursday evening February 3.
