Parking Princess rewards positive parking behaviour

The Grafton Regional Gallery is contributing an active transport promotion as part of the inaugural ART JAM on February 27. The Parking Princess will reward people who park in designated areas and arrive on foot, bike or scooter at the ART JAM with a free ice cream.

The ART JAM event is organized by event company Events Delivered and will be held in the green space between the two Grafton Bridges. Music and workshops will kick off at 4pm lantern lighting at 8pm and hot food and bar service will be available from 4pm.

The Parking Princess promotion is funded by the NSW Government as part of the Festival of Place, a year-long celebration of the great public spaces across NSW. ART JAM patrons will need to snap a selfie with the pop up Parking Princess signs at various locations and show their photo to receive a voucher for an ice-cream from the Parking Princess. Signs will be located in the public carpark on the corner of Clarence and Pound St in Grafton or on Through St, South Grafton near the new bridge roundabout.

There will be further street activations by the Grafton Regional Gallery in the lead up to the grand reopening of the Gallery in March. These including an artist led workshop at Grafton Twilight Farmer’s Market and a Prince Street Promotion to celebrate the Gallery reopening.
