Such wonderful people

Ed, I am writing to thank all those wonderful people that came to the aid, very quickly, for my husband Roy when he tripped and fell in the street gutter on the road outside Coles on Monday April 9. You are all such wonderful people and we both cant thank you enough. Including ringing the ambulance notifying Dr McCarthy, who came immediately to asses him before the ambulance came. A lady and man who had a first aid kit and the lady also was a retired nurse. A physiotherapist who bandaged his wound on his leg, a surfing man who gave us his towel with hood to keep him warm from shock and a man driving by stopped his car on the road with flashing lights on to defer the traffic until the police came, an OT lady who offered her services if needed and everyone who stayed with Roy and assisted him and kept him calm etc until the Ambulance came. Our thanks also to the three ambulance men Todd, James and Matt who are so kind and excellent at their job and took him to Maclean Hospital where the doctor and the staff on duty were so gentle and kind while they were attending to his wound. It is a pleasure to live in Yamba where people are most helpful when needed and to have such a great medical service. Margaret Kable, Yamba
