The Lawrence Golf and Sports Club is hosting an Information and Open Day this weekend, and the dedicated volunteers who run it can’t wait to welcome you to their “little club with a big heart.”
Between 12:30-4pm on Saturday, the Clarence Valley community will be able to enjoy a sociable afternoon interacting with club members, meeting new people and making new friends.
Visitors will be able to tee off on the golf course, practice their drive and maybe hit an albatross, with new players able to have a couple of swings with experienced members of the club and challenge themselves over nine or eighteen holes on the green.
And if you fancy participating in a traditional game of croquet, or learning how to play the sport, the members of the Lawrence Golf and Sports Club will be happy to show you.
The club is also inviting the newest residents of the Clarence Valley to join them on Saturday, and families are also welcome to attend.
The event also includes a free sausage sizzle, and your first drink is complimentary of the club.
The Lawrence Golf and Sports Club is located in March Street, Lawrence.
