Significant gift of local support

The NORCO Cooperative in Lismore have been a significant supporter of the Rescue Helicopter Service for over 30 years. This support was continued recently with the company making a significant donation of $15,000.

The team in Norco’s ice cream factory held a BBQ fundraiser which raised $1,163. Their efforts were supported by the company who contributed further to bring the total to $15,000.

The Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter extended its deepest appreciation to both Norco and its staff with special thanks to factory staff member, Rod Blizard for organising the initiative and to marketing manager Ben Menzies for the Cooperatives generous addition to the process.

Mr Blizard stated “This is our way of supporting the community that has been so loyal to the Norco brand over many many years”.

This level of continued support has helped to see the Rescue Helicopter perform over 10,000 missions since it started in 1982.
