More than 140 donations were generously received by charity group Share the Dignity during their recent ‘It’s in the Bag’ campaign.

Aimed at supporting at-risk and vulnerable women in need, ‘It’s in the Bag’ encouraged locals to donate a new or pre-loved handbag in good condition and fill it with several items such as unopened sanitary products, toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, face washers, shampoo and conditioner, to provide women is difficult circumstances with basic and personal hygiene items to help them maintain their dignity.

Carol Starkey, who has been involved with Share the Dignity for several years, is extremely grateful to everyone who donated to ‘It’s in the Bag’.

The donations are currently in the process of being distributed.
