During the month of August, “Share the Dignity” will be asking the wonderfully generous people in the Clarence Valley to lend a helping hand for those in need.
There are many ladies out there who, for one reason or another, do not have access to essential feminine hygiene items.
Contributing factors include no money and/or choosing to buy food instead of such necessary items.
These sanitary items are not a luxury; they’re a necessity.
Volunteers in the Northern Rivers have been placing the distinctive pink collection boxes in selected stores and businesses throughout Grafton and Maclean.
Woolworths Grafton has now come on board as a collection point and will have a conveniently placed collection box, for the public to donate packets of Tampons and Sanitary products.
‘Share the Dignity’ volunteer Carol Starkey said that they want to encourage the community to drop in to any of the businesses listed below and drop in sanitary items, by way of pads, and tampons etc.
“Think of it this as a B.O.G.O.F – Buy One, Give One Free,” Carol said.
“You will be contributing to help so many ladies who would otherwise have to compromise,” she said.
You can donate sanitary items by dropping them into the pink “Share the Dignity” boxes, at any of the following business houses:
