One can only hope that the incoming councillors can improve the planning, project management and efficacy of works execution of the Clarence Valley Council.

The notice describing the access improvement from the Pacific Hotel to Yamba Main Beach must contain a typographical error. It specifies a completion of September 2021. Given the current rate of progress and work yet to complete I presume they meant September 2022. Yamba is looking forward to the busiest holiday period with visitors greeted by rusting security fencing. It is not yet quite to the inefficiencies of the previous paving exercise in Coldstream Street but could get there yet.

The community could anticipate that the new Council will deliver better value from rates and grants than currently exhibited or alternatively engage organisations that can deliver these small projects in a timely and cost-effective manner.
