Mareeba Aged Care is ushering in a new leadership era with the appointment of Patricia ‘Pattie’ Iredale as Executive Manager and Peta Bowring as Clinical Care Manager.
The change comes as Mareeba farewelled their long-standing Facility Manager and Clinical Care Manager who have both relocated to be closer to their families.
Newly appointed Clinical Care Manager, Peta Bowring said that she is “driven to help our new Executive Manager, Pattie, create a place where our Residents continue to have a high quality of care and lifestyle.”
Peta steps into the role as Clinical Care Manager having been a Registered Nurse with Mareeba for the past nine years and a tenure of 15 years. With Mareeba’ support Peta completed her university training as a Registered Nurse at Southern Cross University.
Peta believes in the Mareeba vision so much that she has encouraged her children to train in various roles with the facility.
“Three of my four children also work here,” she said, “so it’s important for me to provide a great role model of leadership and culture where people want to come to work.”
Joining her is Executive Manager Pattie Iredale, who’s spent the last 20 years in the aged care sector and is excited about the new role, “I really feel Mareeba provides such a deep level of personal service to Residents and I’m looking forward to being part of it.”
“I like to manage from the heart,” said Pattie, “I’m looking forward to building relationships with Residents and their families to continue ensuring our Residents love where they live and enjoy their life with us.”
Together, Pattie and Peta look forward to leading Mareeba Aged Care into a period of significant positive change. Initial plans include the refurbishment project already underway on a number of suites, enhanced staff training and a continued commitment to high quality Resident care.
