Semi’s week at the Raymond Laurie Sports Centre
Raymond Laurie Sport Centre’s netball Semi finals saw three tight games with all teams fighting for their spot in the grand final. First game was between Sam’s and Jo’s team. Sam’s team ran away with the win, Ange Berry and Courtney Smith had a great game, helping seal the win. The next game saw Huff & Puffs and Hayley’s team battle it out. The game was neck and neck with Huff & Puff’s, Kathy Wicks shooting the winning goal on the buzzer. The final game saw Broken play Bench Warmers in an exciting match. Tash Hancock and Andrea Nikas’ tough defence helped Broken to run off with the win. Next week’s grand final will see Petals v Huff & Puffs in the B Grade and Broken v Sams team in the A Grade. Both games should be action packed. Senior basketball semi finals were on Tuesday night. Yamba Bowling Club played the reigning champs Bean Scene, LJ Hooker faced off with Maclean Variety Meats. In the woman’s Yamba Bowling Club played Yamba Shore Tavern. Winner of that match play Maclean Variety Meats in the grand final. Next week Raymond Laurie Sports Centre will be hosting the Simply Handmade & Vintage Markets on Saturday the 26th of March. The markets run from 9am – 2pm and will be packed full of homemade goodies.
