Secret Santa finds CCDBC

Once again 2020 forced Clarence Coast Dragon Boat Club to re-think, re-plan and re-schedule our Christmas festivities.

From the usual evening dinner at a local restaurant, we changed to a morning tea following our final paddle for the year. Unfortunately, a week’s heavy rain had left the mighty Clarence River dark, murky and muddy so the dragon boat was left in the shed.

All members and social members gathered at 8am at Hickey Island for morning tea catered by Dunes Café, Yamba Fair. What a fabulous feast ……… a selection of quiche, muffins, slices and fruit platters.

Another thankyou to Nicholson’s Fine Foods for providing a range of their products for a Secret Santa surprise to our members who have supported our club throughout such an unpredictable year.
As members chatted and laughed, we filled our glasses and toasted the end of 2020.

CCDBC return to paddle on Saturday January 16. New members are always welcome. Contact us at [email protected]
