Second stage of Clarence Village Gardens opens in Grafton

The second stage of Clarence Village Gardens retirement village, at 299 Queen Street Grafton, was officially opened on Friday last week. The official opening at the village club house, was officiated by village board chairman Geoff Sheppard. The Anglican Bishop of Grafton, The Right Reverend Dr Sarah MacNeil, assisted with the unveiling of the commemorative plaque, and blessed the village. The new village consists of 21 architecturally designed units – 16 two-bedroom units, and five two-bedroom plus study units. In his opening speech, Mr Sheppard said that the high-quality village had been purpose built for seniors, with wheelchair accessibility and fully accessible living areas and bathrooms.
