A great day for our back 9 Stableford and wonderful to see our stalwart Al Burke in Yamba again on holidays and catching up with us for a game. It was also good to welcome Joy Williams who is new to Palm Lake and seemed to enjoy herself as though she had been with our group forever.
So, to the scores and Ken Hall, after some weeks on the outer, came in with 20 points to win the day. Then there were three players on 19 who had to be separated by countback leaving Alex Miltiadou in second place, Bob Oddy in third and Bruce Douglass missing out on the podium in fourth.
NTPs saw two of our new members feature with Paul Christie winning on the 10th and Joy Williams on the 17th. Our regular straight shooter Graham Meany took the 12th.
It has been decided to extend our year to finish at the end of December rather than the end of October. With circumstances reducing the number of events this year, we will need to play the Medal of Medals in mid-November and have our AGM and Presentation Day towards the end of the month. Advice on the details will be provided closer to the events.
