Sandra Russo tops Yamba last week

After many weeks of Stroke rounds, 52 players welcomed last Wednesday’s single Stableford and Secret Nine round.

In Div 1, the winner was Jennifer Fagan (37pts) with Kathy Parker r/up (35pts c/b); Mary Hogan (45pts) won Div 2, and Trish McDermid (42pts) was her nearest rival; Sandra Russo (35pts) was thrilled to win Div 3 followed by Terri Collingburn (34pts).

Balls went to 34pts c/b.

The Secret Nine winner was Jill L Brown with a great score of 23pts.

Last week’s Nine-Hole competition was won by Joan Berry (21pts) who came in ahead of Judy Turnbull (19pts) in a smaller field than we’ve been having – ten ladies. Trish White was the NTP winner on the 12th. Great scores ladies.

Along with the strong numbers of ladies involved in our competitions, results continue to be impressive with another score in the 40s last Friday. Congratulations go to Sandra Russo who came in with an impressive score of 42. Jeannie Doolan (36pts)won Div 1 and, once again, Kathy Parker was the bridesmaid (35pts c/b); Div 2 winner was Lynne Donsworth (39pts) and Carrie Aitken (38pts c/b) had a return to form to come in r/up;Sandra Russo came in with a fabulous 42pts to win Div 3 and Lesley Love (38pts c/b) was r/up.

Nine ladies played single Stableford on Saturday morning. Jenny Moody won for the second consecutive Saturday (34pts); Julie Campbell was r/up (33pts). The NTP winner was Kathy Parker. 

We’re all keeping our fingers crossed that recent COVID-19 restrictions won’t impact our upcoming golfing calendar too greatly.
