Sand spurge planting at Angourie

A small team of Angourie Community Coastcare volunteers helped plant 15 ‘sand spurge’ out on Angourie Point on Sunday.

The rare and threatened species is being re-introduced after its population had been reduced to non existence.

NPWS staff coordinated the planting exercise. There are about 8 plants that survived the previous years planting and they are doing well.

We need help watering the sand spurge over the coming weeks; if you can help, please ring John on 0401 532 438.
