Ros…great worker and a very tidy bowler

Tuesday April 13

Autumn is fully underway – the hot weather has mostly departed and conditions on the green this last week couldn’t have been better.

With the Pennant season kicking off and both Grades 3 and 4 battling it out on our greens – social bowlers lined up alongside for their share of the action.

Small numbers today enjoying the beautifully running greens – only 1 game each of pairs and triples. Results of which are M. Sakac, G. Cupples d M. Abbott, R. Dickson and A. Reynolds (v), S. Moore, J. Beaumont had a close encounter (2 shot win) with M. Wall, J. Stamp, S. Carroll (v).  (Nice to see Sharon Carroll our past member revisiting her old club).

Thursday April 15

Cloudless skies again today and enjoying the conditions were M. Abbott, R. Moore d B. Cross, J. Pryor. Ros and Marg also took home the winners prize for the day. Also in pairs, M. Sakac, G. Davis d A. Reynolds, G. Cupples with a 3 shot win and it was a draw between P. Chillcott (v), S. Lindsay, C. Aitchison and V. Beddow, J. Pearson, J. Abbott with Judy and team winning on ends won.

And it was with pleasure that President Bev presented the ‘Bowler of the Month’ for March to Ros Moore. Ros gives much of her time to both the women’s and men’s club. Taking on the role of selector and putting her hand up to capably manage the No 4 men’s Pennant side as well as doing her share of running the barefoot bowls in the holiday season.

Also a very tidy bowler, Ros has had much success on the greens in both women’s bowls and mixed bowls. Always ready to help out with the running of the Club – Ros is a very deserving winner.

The draw for the Major/Minor Pairs is in the board and will commence on Saturday April 24.

Also, not to forget the special meeting called for a vote on the unification issue after bowls on Tuesday May 11.

Good luck to our 3’s and 4’s in the coming days of Pennant.
