Request for feedback on economic impact of east coast low weather event

Maclean Chamber of Commerce has contacted members seeking information on this month’s severe weather conditions. The Chamber says Liz Fairweather, Economic Development Coordinator, Clarence Valley Council has requested feedback on the impact of the east coast low weather event last weekend on local businesses in the Clarence Valley region. This information is necessary to enable the newly formed North Coast Emergency Response Committee (a NSW Govt initiative) to ascertain the economic impact on the affected regions and enable the relevant Government Agencies to co-ordinate proper support to lessen the impact of the storm on local businesses. Any business which has been affected by the storm and can give some feedback in the following areas are asked to contact Clarence Valley Council. 1. If there are impacts from the actual storm 2. If there ongoing impacts are after the event (ongoing) and why. 3. What is needed to alleviate the impact Contact details for Liz Fairweather: Elizabeth.Fairweather@clarence.nsw.gov.au
