Some of the Clarence Valley’s most celebrated singer-songwriters have been nominated across multiple categories at the 2025 Countrytown Awards, with fans across Australia having the opportunity to determine the winners by voting for their favourite performers in one of the nation’s biggest public country music polls.

Star couple Brooke McClymont and Adam Eckersley have received three nominations for RATU Signature Entertainer of the Year, Group or Duo of the Year, and Best Australian Tour for their Up, Down, & Sideways Tour, while proud Gumbaynggirr/Bundjalung man Troy Cassar Daley has also been nominated for RATU Signature Entertainer of the Year and Best Australian Tour for his Between the Fires Tour, along with Album of the Year – Between the Fires, and Male Artist of the Year.

Sharing their ecstatic joy with their followers on social media last week, Brooke and Adam, who both grew up in Grafton, said it was “very cool” that country music fans get to choose the winners.

As he extended his congratulations to all the other 2025 Countrytown Awards nominees, Cassar-Daley said it was amazing to receive four nominations.

Earlier this year, Cassar-Daley won five Golden Guitars at the 2025 Country Music Awards of Australia (CMAA) in Tamworth following the release of his fourteenth studio album Between The Fires.

Cassar-Daley has also been nominated for the Country Award for his song Let’s Ride at the 2025 Queensland Music Awards while his daughter, beautiful songstress Jem Cassar-Daley, has received a nomination for the Indigenous Award for her song Big Container.

In a statement recently released via their website, Countrytown Content Director Megan Hopkins said the Countrytown Awards are about putting the power in the hands of the fans.

“Australian country music has never been stronger,” she said.

“The Countrytown Awards are here to complement and celebrate the great work our labels, festivals, touring companies, and artists have done over the last year, and create a historic record of what the Australian public loved over the last year.”

Country music fans have until March 5 to vote for their favourite artists online at countrytown.com/awards

The winners of the 2025 Countrytown Awards will be announced on the Countrytown website on March 20.
