The northern rivers received a good drenching of much needed rain over the weekend, with some areas in the Clarence Valley recording over 300mm (close to 12 inches).
For the period January 13-19 Grafton Airport received a total of 304.0mm of rain.
Other areas around the Clarence Valley also recorded good falls for the same period: Glenreagh 246.0mm, Pillar Valley 263.6mm, Yamba 226.2 and Nymboida 218.5mm.
The Bureau of Meteorology has predicted daily temperatures this week to be in the mid to high 30s leading in to the weekend, with possible showers and storms.
