Rain stopped play on Friday July 24, with water still on some low spots on Tuesday 28, however we had 22 players all up eagerly contesting close games. Christine made her first ever jump shot, although there were no hoop to hoops recorded.
On Friday 31 only 14 players were present, we all had a great time, despite a very cold breeze, it is so good to be out playing again. Sue W. had her first jump shot and Graham was the only one to record a hoop to hoop.
One exceptionally long and complicated game was enlivened by matters horticultural, topics ranging from cabbages to the native species growing on our former coastal wetland. Lately we have been observing a fine crop of Drossera, the dollar size red rosettes of carnivorous sundews.
We are not recording scores at present, keeping contact to a minimum, mostly we play two games with the same four, swapping partners midway and leave. Best wishes to all not feeling well and self-isolating, we hope to see you soon.
