Racegoers heading trackside this week for the Ramornie Handicap and Grafton Cup race meetings during the 2023 XXXX July Racing Carnival will be able to utilise local bus services between Grafton, South Grafton, and the Clarence River Jockey Club (CRJC) on the following days…
Wednesday, July 12, (Ramornie Handicap):
- Bent Street bus stop, South Grafton, departing at 10:50am only.
- Fitzroy Street bus stop, opposite the Abby Motor Inn, Grafton, via the CBD bus stops and Prince Street. Buses will run on a continual circuit from 10:55am until 1:15pm.
Thursday, July 13, (Grafton Cup):
- Bent Street bus stop, South Grafton, departing at 10:50am and 11:10am only.
- Fitzroy Street bus stop, opposite the Abbey Motor Inn, Grafton, via the CBD bus stops and Prince Street. Buses will run on a continual circuit from 10:55am until 1:15pm.
Bus services will also be available to transport racegoers from the CRJC at the conclusion of the race meetings from 4pm on both days. These services will stop at the following locations:
- Oliver and Turf Street near the Village Green Hotel.
- Oliver and Mary Street near the Grafton District Services Club (GDSC).
- Market Square, near the Clocktower Hotel and Jacaranda Hotel.
- Fitzroy Street bus stop, Grafton, close to local accommodation.
- Prince Street bus stop, Grafton, near the Grafton Hotel, Roches Family Hotel, and the Crown Hotel.
Cost is $4 per person per trip.
No concessions.
Clarence Valley Council (CVC) and Grafton Liquor Accord will provide free, safe celebration buses for racegoers on Thursday, July 13.
These services will depart every half hour from 8:30pm until 11:30pm from the following locations:
- Grafton NAB, 37 Prince Street, Grafton.
- Clarence Regional Library, 126 Pound Street, Grafton.
- GDSC, 105-107 Mary Street, Grafton.
- Through Street, South Grafton, between the Australian Hotel and South Grafton Ex-Servicemen’s Club.
- The Blue Goose Hotel, 2 Casino Road, Junction Hill.
- Armidale Road near the Good Intent Hotel, South Grafton.
