There was only one entrant in this year’s Brooms Head (fun run) Mountain Bike Ride and his focus was on training, not competing. Rob Lennon cycled from his home in Ashby to take part in the 27klm bike ride, before cycling back home. He has been competing in off-road triathlons for six months and competed in the XTerra off-road Asia Pacific titles in Malaysia, earlier this year. Lennon qualified for the XTerra World Championships, which will be held at the end of October this year, in Hawaii. He is currently seeking sponsorship to help him achieve his goals.
